Two Police officers Came to Our Home

October Fifth, I wasn't at home for one hour in the evening. I came to my home and I was going to insert the key in the key hole, but I couldn't do that. Obviously, it was different, when I left home. I was trying to insert it many times.

Finally, I could insert the key and opened the door. I was glad to open the door, but I was a little scared to go into my house. When I was in my home, everything was still, so I calmed down.

After one hour, Ryuichi came home from work, and he was going to open the door by his key, but he couldn't open the door. So we discussed the door, we felt that someone had tried to pick the lock possibly.

We considered all cases. Anyway,We were still a little scared, so we decided to call Aizuwakamatu police station. Ryuichi explained to a police officer about our door, so the police officer said that some police officers would come to our house.

After one hour, two police officers came to our home by a police car, and they checked the key hole. They said that the door was not picked, because it had no scratches, a picked key hole has many scratches. So the key hole may be a little tricky or not smooth because of humidity.

Ryuichi and I were relieved, and respected them, but we were a little embarrassed. Further, the police officers taught us methods of thieves and how to protect our house from thieves. It was really helpful. In addition, it was free!!! I feel like recommending people to call police officers. Actually, they said "Please call us anytime."

I was at a loss whether I should call the police, now I am sure that we did the right thing.
