My Town

When I go to Tokyo, I always get on a Super Express and pass through a few towns. The towns look the same, but Utsunomiya looks different. I can't see Utunomiya without emotion, because I was born and grew up in Utsunomiya. I have a lot of memories of the town.

I married Ryuichi fourteen years ago, and came to Aizu. First, it was difficult to make relation with the neighbors, and I was tired. But now, Aizu people are friendly and amusing for me, so I like the people. Occasionally I go to Utunomiya, I feel Utunomiya people are cold.

I like the environment of Aizu too. I like the small warm town, the skiing areas, the hot springs, the great landscapes, no traffic jams, the simple food, and Say It Right Language School!

Utsunomiya has few attractions. The town isn't big enough for shopping like Tokyo, and doesn't have warmths like Aizu. But Utsunomiya has the greatest thunder and lightning in Japan. It is so great that I like it.

Recently, I came back from Tokyo to Aizu. When the Super Express got close to Utsunomiya station, very strong thunder and lightning began. I hadn't felt it in a long time, and I almost cried unexpected. Of course I wasn't scared, I was sad. I felt embarrassed, so I thought that it was good the train would start fast. But the train stopped a few minutes this time.

I feel that my town is Aizu, and I like Aizu better than Utsunomiya completely, but I miss my hometown. I didn't know that.
