I Knew How to Discipline.

When Takayuki was born, a traffic regulation about a child seat was just changed, and I naturally watched many TV programs about it. They talked about the danger of free children in cars again and again.

So I always fastened Takayuki's seat belt. When he was a baby, it was very easy, but when he became a little child, it was very hard. He hated to put on his seat belt and got violent. I did that by force. It looked like child abuse. Actually someone said to me that I shouldn't force him to wear it! But I did that every time, because I thought that I was completely light.

When he became a child, he could put it on by himself, as I only said, " Put on your seat belt." Lately, he does it at once when he gets in the car, even though I say nothing and forget to put on my seat belt. Takayuki is a wonderful seat belt fastener!

It is the only successful thing in my disciplines. I knew how to discipline at last. Now I think that if I had disciplined him much more about many things, he would be a more wonderful boy. But it would be impossible, because to fasten his seat belt was a little discipline, but it needed eight years and I spent much of my energy on that!
