July 13, 2004
July 13, 2004, I received an e-mail from Akane. It said as follows, "I will not come to the water jumps in Listel-Inawasiro today, because it's raining so heavy now. Maybe our eyes will have so many raindrops in them, so we can't jump."
I rarely care about the weather when I go to ski. If I want to ski, I do. But that time, it was really hard rain, I looked up some wheather maps and some AMeDAS maps on the Internet. I thought the weather would be okay for about two hours.
So I went to the water jumps. When I drove my car, the walls at the road side had some little falls! They were not in existence usually. Even thoough I thought I shouldn't go and there would be nobody at the water jumps place, but I went forward.
When I arrived at Listel at 9, a person was jumping into the pool. I was surprised and glad. At 12 o'clock, there were 6 people at the pool. They are all expert mogul skiers except me. One of them was my acquaintance, I enjoyed the jumps. But approach slope speed was so high due to heavy rain, I couldn't do good jumps.
What's more the expert coach is a nice man, he taught me the same as other expert skiers. So I tried hard again and again, I had pain in my neck, even water.
So that day, I got excited about the jumps and the weather.
